SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS FOR SHAPOORJI (A LEADING ENGINEERING CONTRACTOR)

Situation

Shapoorji Pallonji (SP) awarded contract of US$ 25 Million to construct the 2007 Cricket World Cup in Providence, East Bank Demerara Guyana, Caribbean. Material to be sourced from multiple countries. Shipments included heavy Construction Material such as Excavators, Loaders, Cranes, Dumpers along with other supply materials such as tiles, bathroom furnishings, electrical fittings etc. Scope of Work also included Reverse Logistics of equipment to the origin destination

Solution 

Key Account Team to Define, Plan, Implement & Control the end-to-end logistics of entire project. Customized Logistics Order Management System (LOMS) for Shapoorji to monitor the entire flow of goods from pick-up to consumption site in Guyana. LOMS to provide visibility not only through flow of goods but also over entire Documentation Process with pre-defined alerts and discrepancy notifications. LOMS to also support the Reverse Logistics of goods to origin. Aqua 4PL Center to manage and update the Logistics Order Management System for Shapoorji.

Results 

End-to-End visibility to Shapoorji Pallonji over sourcing of goods from varied geographic locations. Single Window communication and control over entire Supply Chain.
